With the transition to the Presidential Government System in our country, the task of reducing regional development disparities was given to the Ministry of Industry and Technology within the scope of Presidential Decrees No. 1 and 4, and within this scope, the Ministry of Industry and Technology was also made responsible for the national coordination of development agencies.

To this end, the basic tasks of Development Agencies are:

o To prepare strategies related to regional development,

o To conduct studies aimed at identifying the resources and opportunities of the regions, accelerating economic and social development, and increasing competitiveness, and to support studies conducted in this regard,

o To support cooperation and coordination between public, private sector and civil society organizations in order to achieve regional development goals,

o To research and promote business and investment opportunities in the regions and to ensure that resources are attracted to the region,

o To support local and rural development activities,

o To support entrepreneurship and the entrepreneurial ecosystem,

o To contribute to the development of the technical capacities of local administrations and organizations in the region,

o To ensure the one-way tracking and coordination of the permit and license processes of investors coming to the region,

o It can be summarized within the framework of carrying out mediation and coordination activities in the use of international funds by stakeholders in the region.

Institutional Structure of Development Agencies
